Horse Riders improve their skills with helmet cameras

Another interesting story we found when looking through the action camera sales …

As the summer competition season draws nearer more and more riders are turning to helmet mounted cameras to record training at home and away. ActionCameras.co.uk have noticed a 190% increase in sales to riders from this time last year. They believe it’s in the anticipation of good weather for the competition season as more and more people compete on the local and regional circuit.

From the rider’s point of view it enables them to analyse their approach when riding cross-country or show jumping, and record outings as a reference for future competitions to improve on previous outings.

Riders need a camera to be shock resistant, waterproof and lightweight as well as being able to capture quality footage. The VIO POV1 fits the bill for all riders and retails at £549.99 from online retailer ActionCameras.co.uk.

Sab Jhooti of Actioncameras.co.uk said; “The increasing competition for riders leads many to look for any advantage they can get. Our cameras, especially the POV1, enable riders to analyse their riding from the comfort of their own home and clearly see where they can improve.”

The helmet-mounted cameras are easy and safe to wear, and come with a multitude of fittings. They can record up to several hours with sound and connect to PCs and Macs via a USB cable.
