I own the ATC2K and upgraded to the ATC5K. The picture is much better than the old one, but the handle bar attachment is as good an example of poor design as you can get. It's not stout enough to hold the weight of the camera while you are sitting. The clip that screws into the yoke that surrounds the camera is also poorly designed. I'm thinking I might have to use duct tape to attach it to my helmet. Oregon Scientific should have put more thought into the external features of the camera.

Hey all, thanks for all the great feedback here.
Andy, what you've described shouldn't be happening, it may be that your 1Gb card has been corrupted so try a different card. If this doesn't help then contact Action Cameras for further help.
Kurt, to be honest, the FOV increase from the ATC2K to the ATC3K is not that much. In our opinion the fact that you can get 4Gbs into it is the greatest improvement.

Hey everyone, I own an ATC2K but am interested in the ATC3K because of the wider angle lens. Has anyone done a comparison of the two cameras to show how much wider the field of view is? You can visit my YouTube site to see some surfing shots I took using my ATC2K.

Thanks,
Kurt

hi All,

can anyone tell me what the max capacity sd card for the atc2k?? can i put sdhc card in it??
i have a 1gb card but i dont seem to get much footage on it before it switches itself off? im not sure if it's the card capacity or the batteries though? does anyone know? i read here that someone gets 45 mins on new batts and mine have been in a while - maybe its the batts that makes it switch off and 1gb will be fine? - saying that i will get a bigger card and some new batts and try but confirmation of max card size for atc2k would be great!!

Thanks,

Hi guys,

Forgot to mention, the ATC5k has a wireless IR remote control to Start/Stop recording which the ATC3k doesn't have.

The ATc3k and ATC5k records on standard SD Cards and on 4Gb SDHC Cards.

Any more questions, we are here to help !!
