The Good: The VholdR has excellent new features; is very durable; has shock regulatory technology; plus the twin lasers to line-up your filming angel are all brilliant extras.
The Bad: The 2hrs of battery life is limiting
The Action Cameras bottom line: The innovation that has gone into developing this camera and all the new features makes this camera one of our favourites and is a definite up-grade from all the previous helmet cameras that have been available on the market.

The good: This is a revolutionary camera system allows affordable professional filming while coming in a small pack and has everything that you need to get going. The wireless remote and software package included is new to the market. This kit is all good!
The bad: The memory can only be extended to 2Gbs max.
The Action Cameras bottom line: This is the greatest camera to hit the market and the price shows the quality of it, which is fair because of the value that is received in the quality of the POV.1

The bad: Sluggish; takes very soft images; quality only for internet/ computer viewing.
The Action Cameras bottom line: The GoPro Digital Hero 3 is a cool idea that could be fun if you’re swimming or any other time you need to dunk a camera underwater
The good: Handy waterproof enclosure; low distortion; good white balance; mounts easily onto the helmet and handlebar; and takes stills plus videos.
The bad: Sluggish; takes very soft images; quality only for internet/ computer viewing.
The Action Cameras bottom line: For a small, reasonably priced, user-friendly camera for biking… this is it.

The good: Handy underwater enclosure; low distortion; good white balance; mounts really well and is small enough to be concealed if necessary; and takes stills plus videos.
The bad: Sluggish; takes very soft images; resolution only good enough for viewing on the internet/ computer.
The Action Cameras bottom line: The GoPro Motorsports Hero is a great extra toy to add to your racing car, motorbike, helmet, go-kart, or anything to capture the speed and fun that you get up to!

The good: Compact design allows hands- and wire-free digital recordings, shock-resistant and waterproof to 10 feet, inexpensive compared to other video cams
The bad: Internal memory provides only 1 to 2 minutes of video recording time, video can be choppy depending on what you’re doing, poor sound quality, interface buttons hard to push, small LCD menu screen
The Action Cameras bottom line: For an entry level camera for capturing decent “foot”age without costing an arm and a leg, the ATC2K is leaps ahead.

Another interesting story we found when looking through the action camera sales …
As the summer competition season draws nearer more and more riders are turning to helmet mounted cameras to record training at home and away. ActionCameras.co.uk have noticed a 190% increase in sales to riders from this time last year. They believe it’s in the anticipation of good weather for the competition season as more and more people compete on the local and regional circuit.
From the rider’s point of view it enables them to analyse their approach when riding cross-country or show jumping, and record outings as a reference for future competitions to improve on previous outings.
Riders need a camera to be shock resistant, waterproof and lightweight as well as being able to capture quality footage. The VIO POV1 fits the bill for all riders and retails at £549.99 from online retailer ActionCameras.co.uk.

wow, what a month! Our cyling story set the country on fire and, as a result, we’ve had huge amount of helmet cam enquiries and orders. This month top seller is the Helmet Hero, seen here.
