In an effort to expand VIO’s product offerings and flexibility of their systems they have announced the global launch of the new Exposure Control Firmware Upgrade. The latest firmware upgrade improves overall video quality by adding several choices in automatic exposure settings to complement the CLASSIC setting. The additional exposure settings are designed to enhance the performance of video capture by allowing you to adjust your system to match the recording conditions encountered in different performance shooting environments. For example, if you are out skiing on a sunny day you will be able to lower the exposure to complement the bight sunshine and result in a fantastic shot every time!
The Exposure Control Firmware setting will be available for download exclusively from VIO’s website. Click here to go to the VIO-POV site.
“Svengalie” is one of YouTubes most popular vloggers which is video blogger who does reviews and updates all on video. He recently got his hands on a VIO POV1.5M kit from Action Cameras and put it through its paces on his dirtbike…
Action Cameras was at the Isle of Man TT 2009. The BBC On-Board film crew asked to use one of our VIO POV1.5 Action Cameras to put on the race official’s bike who was following Rossi round the track.
The guys from BikeChannel.com took the brand new Desmosedici RR from Ducati out for a test spin around Donnington Park Race Track to see how the Desmo RR should be ridden! With Vito Guareschi taking it to the max it was a good thing that we had a few VIO POV1.5 Action Cameras mounted around the bike to give a real-life perspective of what it feels like to hit these speeds around a world class track!
While there are still four more days of the Isle of Man TT remaining, it is easy to say that Action Cameras has had a fantastic time up at the event! Over the past week we have enjoyed spending time with all of the racers and spectators alike who are all up there to enjoy the racing and to take advantage of the one-way road system up over the mountain where absolutely anyone can take their bike to the limit without having to worry about speed limits.
The Action Cameras stand has been continuously surrounded by bikers who were either entrigued by the action cameras or those who had returned to our stand to play back their footage onto our big screen in order to show all their mates what speeds they had been reaching and how low they were taking those treacherous country road corners!
Without a doubt our highlight of the event so far has been organising for Valentino Rossi’s bike to be set up with one of our VIO POV1.5 Action Cameras! He arrived with a police escort, did one lap around the TT course with our POV1.5 on his bike and was soon after flown back out of the event. Keep an eye out for the footage here and also on ITV. Another highlight was having the Maxxis Babes on our stand showing off the POV1.5 Action Cam.
We couldn’t have hoped for a better time and for more interest in the cameras then we have had, already now when you watch all the riders going around the course we can spot a good number of them sporting a brand new helmet camera! They are all loving it and we are loving the fact that they are loving it!
With a just a few more days remaining of this years TT we are looking forward to kitting out at least a few more riders with Action Cameras and to also enjoying the rest of our time up here on the Isle of Man.
Thanks for all the riders who have made it such a success for us this year, we’ll be seeing you again next time. Remember to keep sending us your footage!
Till then,
Ride hard, ride safe, record it all!
