Mike Catt, Rugby World Cup Winner and coach of the London Irish premiership team went on a search to find an innovative way to improve his backlines ability to see what he can see. The answer came to him in the form of the X170 Action Camera. Now he can review each play from
the player’s point of view.
“It’s just brilliant” was Catt’s comment when first watching back Chris Malone’s point of view after a quick run around on the pitch. Catt and game analyst Richy Whiffin are going to use the X170 Action Camera in training sessions throughout the season so we’re hoping this can contribute to their continuing success.
Thanks to the guys over at Piste Magazine who liked the X170 so much that they didn’t only want to write an article on it but also thought it would be an excellent gift for one of their lucky readers. Congratulations to Guy Monk who was announced as the winner of the X170 Action Camera.

Action Cameras Review of the X170 from Drift Innovation
The Good: DVD Quality Footage + 170º lens + Wireless RF Remote + 1.5″ Screen = WOW!
The Bad: It’s a little bulky but this is understandable as it is housing the screen as well as all the regular helmet camera technologies.
The Action Cameras Bottom Line: The X170 is the first camera to tick every single box that we want to tick when deciding on a helmet cam to buy. Read below to see how much is packed into this small cam. We’ve tested it to the limits, showed our friends the amazing quality video, and have loved every second of it. We highly recommend this Action Camera!
